Shante Carter is the Chief Financial Officer for University Advancement and Alumni Relations and the Associate Vice Chancellor for Advancement Services and Alumni Relations. She oversees the financial and resource management of the organization as well as the UCI Foundation through strategic budget planning, analysis and fiscal oversight. She is also responsible for the stewardship of the university’s alumni stakeholders through the management of the alumni association, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

Shante is a skilled leader with over 20 years of financial, management and strategic operations experience within the public accounting, private healthcare and nonprofit sectors. Her focus on process improvements, financial transparency, mentoring and team building have provided her with the skills to successfully assist companies achieve goals, improve metrics and develop strategic plans that align with and lead teams toward the overall mission of the organization. She graduated from Morgan State University with a bachelor of science in accounting and the University of California, Irvine with an executive MBA.
